January 3rd, 2018 - Zach McMillan Wraps Up 2017 Season With One Win
The 2017 season saw Zach McMillan compete in a total of 31 events while visiting victory lane one time behind the wheel of his brother-in-laws Limited Modified for the annual Armadillo Nationals at Lonestar Speedway (Kilgore, Texas) in mid-October. With the weather determining the outcome of seven of his scheduled dates, McMillan collected 13 Top-10 outings and seven Top-5 finishes. He also captured the COMP Cams Super Dirt Series (CCSDS) Rookie of the Year award while finishing fourth in the overall point standings.

December 16th, 2017 - McMillan Attends Gateway Dirt Nationals
On Thursday night Zach McMillan made the trek to The Dome at America’s Center (St. Louis, Missouri) for the second annual VP Racing Fuels Gateway Dirt Nationals. With the stout field of 94 Super Late Models split into two groups for a round of qualifying on Thursday, McMillan recorded the 24th fastest time earning him the 7th-starting position for his heat on Friday.

Needing to place in the Top 4 to make the $5,000-to-win preliminary feature, Zach logged a 9th place finish sending him into the B-Main. Transferring the Top 2 into the show, McMillan improved three spots to place 6th ending his night early. (K.C. Shaw photo)

Returning on Saturday afternoon for one final shot at the $30,000-to-win finale, Zach came up four spots short of a transfer position in his B-Main with a 6th place outing.

November 25th, 2017 - 2nd Place Finish in Wayne Harris Memorial at Lonestar
Zach McMillan wrapped up the COMP Cams Super Dirt Series (CCSDS) season on Saturday night by traveling to Lonestar Speedway (Kilgore, Texas) for the Topless Turkey Nationals. Drawing 32 Super Late Models for the inaugural Wayne Harris Memorial, McMillan followed up the second fastest time in his qualifying group with a 8-lap heat race victory. Rolling off 3rd for the $5,000-to-win A-Main, Zach overtook Tyler Erb on lap 11 and held the top spot for the next 14 circuits. Losing the lead to Timothy Culp on lap 26, Zach McMillan dropped one spot in the closing laps to place 2nd behind Culp with Erb, Jon Mitchell, and B.J. Robinson completing the Top 5 finishers. November 4th, 2017 - Zach McMillan Makes World Finals Feature on Friday
Kicking off the 11th annual Textron Off Road World Finals, Zach McMillan traveled to the Dirt Track at Charlotte (Concord, North Carolina) on Thursday night for the World of Outlaws Craftsman Late Model Series sanctioned weekend. With 75 cars on hand for two rounds of qualifying, McMillan recorded the 10th and 19th fastest times in his group.

Earning the 4th-starting position for his heat on Friday, Zach jumped up two positions to place 2nd behind Dale McDowell. Rolling off 10th for the $12,000-to-win A-Main, McMillan slipped back to a 30th place outing after making contact with the wall on lap 17. (Dave Dalesandro photo)

Returning on Saturday night, Zach gained one spot in his heat race recording a 6th place finish. Transferring into the B-Main for another shot at the finale, McMillan came up three spots short with a 5th place finish.

October 28th, 2017 - McMillan Visits Whynot for Coors Light Fall Classic
Friday night brought Zach McMillan to Whynot Motorsports Park (Meridian, Mississippi) for the 23rd annual Coors Light Fall Classic. With 42 Super Late Models on hand for the unsanctioned weekend, McMillan posted a 7th place finish in his heat transferring him into the B-Main on Saturday for one final shot at the $15,000-to-win A-Main. Sending the Top 4 into the show, Zach came up short of a transfer position with a 9th place outing.

October 14th, 2017 - Zach McMillan Wins in Limited Modified in Armadillo Nationals
On Friday night Zach McMillan returned to Lonestar Speedway (Kilgore, Texas) competing in two separate divisions for the annual Armadillo Nationals. In a field of 33 Touring Outlaw Modified Series (TOMS) entries, McMillan timed in sixteenth fastest but was disqualified after the qualifying session sending him to the tail of his heat. Transferring the Top 4 into the A-Main on Saturday, McMillan logged an 8th place finish. Rolling off 6th in his B-Main for one final shot at the main event, Zach landed a 5th place finish securing his spot into the feature. Running into trouble early, Zach McMillan was an early retiree from the main event after breaking his rear-end on the opening lap.

In the Limited Modified feature, McMillan had worked his way into the Top 5 from the tail of the field until spinning out. Rallying from the back again, Zach wheeled his way up to a 6th place finish but was rewarded the win after the Top 5 finishers were all disqualified.

January 30th, 2017 - McMillan Closes Out 2016 Season
Attending a total of 32 events during the 2016 campaign, Zach McMillan posted 11 Top 10 finishes. Losing five of his scheduled dates to bad weather, McMillan registered four Top 5 outings.
