January 18th, 2014 - Winter Extreme Action Continues for McMillan
1 Tucson International Raceway (Tucson, Arizona) returned to action on Friday night with the fourth round of the 2nd Annual Winter Extreme, which posted a $3,000 top prize.

Fifty-six entries registered for competition in the National Dirt Racing League (NDRL) sanctioned program. After starting 7th in his heat race Zach finished 7th, which sent him to a b-main. In the b-main he advanced a few spots early in the race before ultimately settling into an 8th place finish, which brought his night to an end.

On Saturday the winner's check was increased to $5,000 as Zach went into battle once again against a field of 56 entries. As the young driver continued to learn the ins and outs of competing on the 3/8 mile oval he made strides in his program, but still missed the mark of qualifying for the feature as his night came to an early end in a b-main.

January 15th, 2014 - McMillan Opens 2014 Season at Tucson
1Zach McMillan opened his 2014 campaign on Saturday night in his #14z P&W Sales/Rocket/Clements Racing Engine Super Late Model at Tucson International Raceway (Tucson, Arizona) in the opening round of the 2nd Annual Winter Extreme.

The National Dirt Racing League (NDRL) sanctioned event drew a field of 57 entries to the 3/8 mile oval, and via time trials Zach earned the 8th starting spot for his heat race. He would go on to finish 8th in his heat race, which relegated him to a b-main. In the b-main McMillan registered a 6th place finish, but with only the top two finishers moving onto the feature his night came to an early end.

On Sunday the winner's check was increased to $5,000-to-win, and struggles in qualifying left him starting at the back of a heat race. Unfortunately track conditions didn't allow for any passing in heat race and b-main action, and as a result McMillan's night came to an early end with a 7th place finish in his b-main.

The miniseries resumed on Wednesday with round #3, but Zach's luck would not improve. Struggles in time trials left Zach starting at the tail of his heat race, and he would be unable to overcome his starting position to transfer to the feature via heat race and b-main action as his night came to an early end.
